Social pressure
Recently, I started feeling a certain kind of "social pressure"
Maybe it’s connected to the fact that I often publish different posts – LinkedIn, micro-blog, Telegram etc.
If we talk about LinkedIn for example, of course most posts there are related to work and migration processes
For example, describing the process of moving to a new country or the difficulties of finding a job
It seems there are several sides to this pressure
I’ll try to describe them here, maybe someone will recognize themselves in a similar situation

North American traffic light
A somewhat strange topic, recently I was discussing how traffic lights work here in Canada and started wondering how all of this works in other countries.
What really annoys me here is that on slippery winter roads the traffic light switches from green to yellow very quickly, and it’s often impossible to brake in time. In Russia, for example, this wasn’t a problem.
So here is my small research into a few countries.
Zipline - upload your images with a direct link
Recently I started a microblog to replace the nasty Telegram

I chose a ready self-hosted application Writefreely
There’s also a separate community post about running it in Docker https://github.com/writefreely/writefreely/pull/1038
In general everything is ok, BUT I ran into the problem of hosting images...
Russian Cheburnet: How to chat under very restrictive conditions
Hello everyone!
Maybe not everyone knows, but in Russia, in the Nenets Autonomous Okrug (NAO), they have already launched a full-fledged Cheburnet
It is currently being tested in this region, where there are few cities, and it may later spread to other parts of the country.
For now, it’s only in mobile internet, but still. A list of about 20 websites opens.
In this situation, my friends and I decided to test a messenger that allows communication even when VPN won’t help anymore. Maybe this information will help someone, or if you know someone who could benefit from it.
Driving in North America
I recently started learning to drive in Canada and wanted to share some thoughts about American standards — specifically road signs.
Canada and the USA use the same signs and standards, which, by the way, are no longer used anywhere else in the world.
Let’s compare. This is what a highway looks like in the EU:
